This is the story of an only child, born in the garage to a feral mother, long before the others moved in from across the street.
Mr. Fluff, or Poof as we like to call him, lives a bit different of a life than the rest of our farm cats. He was rescued as a kitten one bitter winter, for fear that he’d not make it with just two other adult cats in the garage. Instead of the house, though, he lives in a different place on the property.
While Poof visits the house and plays with his brothers and cousins (he’s got 4 small siblings right now, the litter I’ll be talking about next!), he actually lives separate from everyone else. This makes him extra spoiled.
But Poof doesn’t just have a human that takes extra care of him. He also has a dog!
Have you ever seen bonded buddies like this?
Poof’s dog is a service dog named Cali. Whenever Poof comes to visit at the house, his dog comes with him. They do not like to be apart; one will whine and be visibly concerned when the other is missing. They even go to the vet together!
Now just because he lives with a dog, that doesn’t mean Poof misses out on cat-like fun. As you can see above, he enjoys his own cat grass that the dog surprisingly leaves alone (probably because she can go outside).
He also enjoys his own private meals during the dog’s meals, but doesn’t have to fight the other cats for special treats. He’s got his own toys the dog (generally) leaves alone. And, as mentioned, he does come to play with the other feline friends sometimes.
Poof and Cali are currently on a different vaccination schedule that the rest of the cats, so in about a month they’ll both go in for shots and a check up. Please see below for ways you can help us take care of our precious pets!
Between the food, vet care, and general household costs, we are barely hanging on. If you would like to help us out, there are several ways…
